Valentine’s day can find it’s origins during the third and fourth century in Roman culture on what is now February 13th a pagan holiday honoring the god Lupercus who watched over and protected the herdsman and their animals.

The Christian church opted to alter the concentration point from a Roman god to Saint Valentine, who was a Christian saint. By the 14th century, he was love’s patron saint.
